Cow Field
Once two men looked at a cow field, scattered
with the smallest, wildest flowers, light
purple, bell-shaped, densely packed in with hundreds
of wispy grasses, next to a field of sunflowers
handing out light to bees in charity, shading mice
at midday. And these two men, who disagreed about much,
agreed that this would be a great place to meet
with weapons, and kill as many as possible,
except this didn’t happen just once, or only here.
